  • Emotion Focused Skills Training for Parents (EFST-P)

Emotion Focused Skills Training for Parents guides caregivers to navigate their own and their child’s emotions, enhance their own and their child’s motivation for change, and transform problematic relationships in their family. This is an evidence-based intervention, with research results showing that even the core basic program is sufficient for significant change to occur.

  • Emotion Focused Skills Training for Youth (EFST-Y)

In this group we work towards two primary goals: (1) increase emotional self-efficacy and (2) enhance self-awareness. A major focus is developing an understanding that the behaviours that have been getting them in trouble were fueled by an attempt to handle painful feelings and from this point supporting them in moving towards change. At Vault Psychotherapy Services, our therapy groups and workshops offer a powerful way to grow, connect, and heal alongside others facing similar challenges. Whether you're a teen navigating emotions or a parent supporting your child, group therapy can help you feel less alone and more understood.

Our groups are a mix of learning (psycho-education) and real-time connection (process-focused). We explore what’s happening in the moment—what you're feeling, how you're reacting, and what might be getting in the way of change. Sharing space with others who “get it” can be a deeply validating and motivating experience.

We focus on creating a safe, supportive space where honesty and vulnerability are encouraged. You'll learn to listen with empathy, speak your truth, and discover that change is possible—not just for others, but for you too.

Group therapy is also a cost-effective and proven alternative to individual therapy. If you're ready to explore a new way forward, we invite you to join one of our upcoming groups or workshops.
