Our Team
Clint Robson, M.S.W., RSW.
I am currently in my 25th year of Social Work and Psychotherapy practice. I would say that the most professional growth I’ve experienced has been in the last 10 years. My long time focus in therapy and treatment has been families and individuals and professionals that have experienced trauma. As long as we both believe I’m a good fit for you, there are few presenting issues I’m not comfortable providing therapy for. I’m particularly known for treatment depression, anxiety disorders, and trauma/PTSD.
My practice is informed by a significant evidence base. In particular I am guided by the work of Carl Rogers (person centred therapy), the Palo Alto Group, existential psychotherapy (primarily Irvin Yalom), and the emotion focussed therapy of Les Greenburg and the Emotion Focussed Skills Training (EFST) of Joanne Dolhanty. If you have read through our website, you will also know that Joanne Jouvin and I have created our own branch of EFST, Emotion Focused Skills Training for Youth. I tend to specialize in working with adolescents, parents, and families but I also have significant experience working with men.
I am registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I obtained my Masters Degree (MSW) from McGill University and an undergraduate Degree in Social Work from Laurentian University.
Joanne Jouvin, MA., RP.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, caregivers, and families through an approach that is grounded in humanistic-experiential, client-centered, and attachment-based frameworks. My practice is rooted in the belief that emotional connection and safety are essential to healing and growth.
I have been trained and mentored by Dr. Joanne Dolhanty, founder of Emotion-Focused Skills Training (EFST), since 2017, and have been facilitating EFST workshops for parents and caregivers since 2019. With a compassionate, relationship-focused lens, my hope is to help families navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, externalizing behaviours, and overwhelming emotions.
I hold a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced relational trauma and those who struggle with shame and self-criticism. I also specializes in helping families repair ruptured relationships and rebuild emotional connection.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the co-developer of Emotion-Focused Skills Training for Youth (EFST-Y), a modality created alongside Clint Robson that brings emotion-focused tools directly to adolescents. My professional work is informed by ongoing training and collaboration in evidence-based practices that integrate emotion and attachment science.
I am registered and in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. I obtained my Masters Degree in Psychotherapy (M.A.) from Wilfrid Laurier University and an undergraduate Degree in Psychology (BSc) from York University.
